Content review

The step of writing content for your business project is one of the most important foundations of digital marketing at the present time, and there is a famous saying that describes the importance of this stage, which is (content is the king).

You can learn a lot about writing content from here, but what after writing content?

There are content topics and formats that are best suited for different stages of the customer journey. This is why the content review process ensures that you have appropriate content for each stage of the customer journey. This is where the importance of the content review stage comes in. A content review involves going through a process of reviewing all of your existing content and then making a list for that review. This allows any gaps within your content to be discovered. If you are just starting out and don't have your own content, you can review a competitor's content.

What content will you discover?

What content is on their website, blog, do they have promotional ads, etc. This will allow you to see what types of content might be right for you and what you'd be offering differently. You will need a worksheet such as Excel or Google Docs to review the content.

It is also a good idea to arrange the content in the following way:

1- By stage of the journey: What is the content of the awareness, interest, desire, action, or post-action stage?
2- Depending on the type of content : is it text, video (long or short), images only, etc.
3- By content rating: Hero, Hub, or Hygiene content you can see previous content ratings here.

Here's an example of what you'll be tracking:

After writing your content according to each classification, you can then clearly identify the gaps and the content that needs to be modified or reconsidered, and it becomes easy to know the additional content that you can add to your content creation plan.
